Daniel L. Purkey
CEO/ Executive Director
Daniel is originally from Hammond, Indiana and resides in Rochester. Dan has been with Hope Hospice since 2007. After completing his years of study, Dan became a developing engineer at Biomet, Inc. for 16 years. His specialties were in custom hip development and pediatric oncology. Dan was instrumental in the development of several innovative designs, in the Patient Matched Implant division, for the benefit of his pediatric patients. He is also a certified professional writer and certified public speaker. Dan is involved in many civic and social groups. Dan is a voting member of the NHPCO, IHPCO and IAHHC. He is a former president and current board member of the Rochester Optimist Club and current president of the Grouchy Bear Foundation (A pediatric cancer charity). He is the former president and a current board member of the Rochester Youth Football League. He is a varsity assistant football coach for the Rochester Zebras and member of the Indiana Football Coaches Association. Dan is married and has 3 children. He enjoys spending time with his family and attending Zebra and Purdue football games in the fall.
Brenda K. Purkey, RN, CHPN
Chief Clinical Officer
Brenda Purkey is a native of Bourbon, Indiana and resides in Rochester. Brenda is a founding member of the board of directors for Hope Hospice. She is a graduate of Indiana University School of Nursing with a degree in nursing. In 2007 Brenda received a national certification as a Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse. Brenda's nursing experience includes time in Nursing Facilities, Intensive Care Units and Cardiac Intensive Care Units. Brenda's social and civic contributions includes: A voting member of NHPCO, IHPCO and IAHHC. Brenda is a co-founder of the Grouchy Bear Foundation, (A pediatric cancer charity), A Rochester Optimist Club member, and a member of Women's Giving Circle of Fulton County. Brenda is married with 3 children. Brenda enjoys spending time with her family and two dogs.
Laurie Paulik
Chief Financial Officer
Laurie Paulik is a native of Fulton County and currently resides in Rochester. She is a graduate from Indiana University with a business degree. Laurie began her healthcare career at Woodlawn Hospital in the Accounting Department with 10 years of service, and moved on to First Financial Bank where she served as the Banking center manager for nearly 4 years. She recently joined Hope Hospice as the Fiscal Services Director. Following the civic and social responsibility practiced by her parents, Laurie has embraced the merits of volunteerism. She is presently on the board of directors for the United Way of Fulton County, serving as Campaign Chair for two years, finance chair with the Compassionate Health Center, and volunteer for Layers of Hope and Women's Giving Circle of Fulton County. She has also served on a revolving loan committee for the Fulton County Economic Development agency. She is married and has 3 children and values her time with her family.
